We are registered in England and Wales, company number 12374560, with our registered office at 310 Wellingborough Road, Northampton NN1 4EP. We are the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect and why

When you ask for a quote or place an order Through the website form, by phone, by email or by message, we collect your name, phone number, email address if you give it, your postcode or address, a description of the job, and any photos you send us. We use this to give you a quote, book and carry out the work, deliver your logs, and invoice you. We rely on this being necessary to enter into and carry out a contract with you.

When we do the work We may take photos of the job before and after. We use these for our own records and, with your agreement, on our website and social media. We never include house numbers, street names or people in photos we publish.

When you leave a review Reviews on this site are shown from Google. Google, not us, holds the information you give when you write one. See Google's privacy policy for how they handle it.

When you visit the website Our website is built on Wix, which records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and the pages you visit, so the site works and stays secure. Wix processes this on our behalf under its own privacy policy. We also use Google Fonts, Google Maps and the Elfsight reviews widget on some pages; loading these means your browser sends your IP address to Google and to Elfsight.

We do not use your information for marketing and we do not sell or share it with anyone for their marketing.

Who we share it with

Only the people and services we need to do the job:

• Wix, which hosts the website and stores form submissions.

• Google, which provides the fonts, the map and the reviews shown on the site.

• Elfsight, which displays the Google reviews on our site.

• Our accountant, for invoicing and tax records.

• Northamptonshire councils, where we apply for consent to work on a protected tree on your behalf. We share your address and the details of the tree, and only what the application needs.

We do not transfer your information outside the UK ourselves. Wix, Google and Elfsight may process it in other countries under safeguards recognised in UK law.

How long we keep it

• Quote requests we don't go ahead with: deleted after 12 months.

• Customer records, invoices and job photos: kept for 6 years after the job, which is how long tax law requires us to keep business records.

• Photos used on the website or social media: until you ask us to remove them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

• tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy;

• correct anything that's wrong;

• delete your information, where we don't have to keep it;

• stop using it in a particular way, or restrict what we do with it;

• give it to you in a form you can pass to someone else.

Cookies

This site uses the cookies Wix needs to run it and keep it secure, and the reviews widget and map may set their own. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though the map and reviews may not show.
